This coastal blend is made from Syrah 87%, Mourvèdre 9% and Viognier 4%. The wine is medium bodied with ripe red raspberry through to plums, violets, slight aniseed, pepper and other spice aromas on the nose that carries through to the palate. The tannins are soft and well integrated.
2 x Leenders Reserve Soetdoring Red Blend 2020
Syrah forms the backbone of this blend with dark fruit notes. Mourvedre adds spice, fynbos and leathery characters to the blend, while Carignan and Grenache Noir contribute red fruit and cranberry notes and softens the tannin structure.
2 x Hoopenburg Integer Rhone Blend 2019
This classic Rhône style red blend exhibits pure aromas of red fruit with good depth of flavours infused by the new oak. It is full structured, well balanced and firm on the finish.
