A beautiful Chardonnay with a light straw colour. Inviting aromas of white peach, lemon and brioche on the nose are followed by toasted nuts. On the palate, layers of citrus and stone fruits are followed by complex toasty aromas from oak maturation. The wine shows plenty of power which is complimented beautifully by fresh acidity and a persistent finish.
3 x Thelema Chardonnay 2018
Aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit marmalade, blossoms and complex yeasty flavours complement the toasty oak in the wine. The palate is clean with a lovely texture and long finish.
3 x Lourensford The Dome Chardonnay 2021
Ripe pineapple, melon and orange blossom flavours dominate on the nose, supported by hints of lemon cream, grapefruit and dried apricots. Flavours of white peach, cashew nuts and caramel linger on the palate. The wine has a brilliant linear acidity and dominant dense core with layered sweetness due to the natural fermentation. The roundness on the palate and a beautifully integrated texture supported by a creamy finish coats your mouth and make you want to spend more time in the presence of this big wine.
3 x Atlas Swift Shelter Chardonnay 2020
Winemaker : Martin Smith – Upfront aromas of ripe citrus, burnt orange and lemon curd. Sultry flavours of grapefruit and hazelnuts on the palate, with a bright acidity to complement the creamy vanilla flavours. Flavours of freshly baked brioche and yeasty notes on the lengthy finish.
