Velvety, supple and sleek in the mouth, all of the above flavours can be found on this wonderfully cohesive and multifaceted palate reminiscent of a Black Forest Gateaux. Rich and effortlessly sophisticated and complex, the overall impression is one of silkiness and polished texture that knits with the ripe fruited generosity – courtesy of a good vintage year. Nonetheless, it is structured and powerful but that muscularity is leashed and reined in. Deceptively easy to drink and enjoy now, it’s made for the long haul.
